Farafra Field Study, 2015, 3D printed objects, slipcast porcelain, laser cut plexi, wood, lightbulb, glass, collected fossilized rocks

Farafra (واحة الفرافرة), also known as the white desert is in western Egypt and where my geddo said Noah split the sea. It’s a holy place of endless sand that makes you forget you are on earth. This project is my interpretation of a field study, a meditative exploration of a tiny fossil I found across the world.
